Born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Robin can sniff out a Pilsner 10 kilometers away, but would really rather not.
Developing a love for writing at an early age, her first poem was terrible and written on lined paper with multi-coloured pens. Inspired by the works of Shel Silverstein, David Bowie, Maya Angelou, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and numerous others, however, Robin pursued her passion for the written word, and was published in several young writers' journals and compilations. As a teen, she was a permanent fixture at local poetry readings and open-mic nights. After taking a well-earned year off to drink wine on British Columbia's beaches and become adept at fire-hackysack, she learned what the internet was and quickly became a regular contributor to LGBT+ websites and literary e-zines.
In 2011, Robin published her first collection of poems, 23, which made its way to bookshelves around the world. She was set to release a new collection...uh, awhile ago, but got distracted by something shiny. Her second and third collections, Caffeine Dreams and Bitter Fruit, will be released in 2025. Probably.
As well as being a poet, freelance writer, and special education assistant, Robin also deletes your commas and hunts dead people.
